It’s got a unique acre cab too...this must be one of those Tardis S10s.
If I were in the need of a small truck I’d be tempted to snatch this up.

Was that a factory option or a seemingly well executed hack job?

I swear these have been popping up more and more. I don’t think I’d ever even seen one until last year.

I think it was a skunkworks thing. A prototype never meant to leave GM’s possession that somehow made it out. So, yes.

Maybe it was a design meant for other mar ket s, Mexico or Brasil perhaps. I know the ranger of that era had a double cab elsewhere.

I like these more than I should
The only true small crew cab sold here (The Dakota and Tacoma crew cabs
were bigger)

Nope. It was a factory option for the last 2-3 years of S-10 production. It was originally sold in Brazil for several years before that. Fun fact, in 2004 the only S-10's sold in the US, were crew cabs, as Colorado production began with regular and extended cabs.

I was going to say, there’s a blue one near me I see all the time.

Bingo, Brazil. They brought it to the US for the last 2-3 years of production.

Factory. Originally made for the Brazilian market, but brought to the US for the last 2-3 years of production.

I thought Akio was joking about the Tardis S10 part, I completely missed that he was legitimately asking the question lol
